Аннотация. В статье рассматривается проблема достоверности источников о принятии великим литовским князем Ольгердом, рожденным «огнепоклонником», православия. В историографии иногда высказываются суждения о его двух- или трехкратном обращении в христианство: перед его первым браком с княжной Марией Витебской, перед вторым браком с княжной Ульяной Тверской и накануне смерти, когда он якобы принял и крещение, и схиму. Между этими событиями Ольгерд проявляет себя и характеризуется современниками язычником, что предполагает его неоднократное же отступление от христианства. Подобные суждения представляются противоречивыми, что потребовало обратиться к источникам, на которых они основываются. Показано, что современные Ольгерду источники московского, византийского, ливонского происхождения последовательно аттестуют литовского князя язычником, в том числе и на момент его кончины и погребения. Наиболее ранние сведения о мнимом крещении Ольгерда относятся к концу XV в. Это Послание митрополита Спиридона-Саввы (здесь Ольгерду дано христианское имя Александр, в схиме – Алексий) и синодик («помянник») Киево-Печерского монастыря (здесь Ольгерд именуется Дмитрием). В этих памятниках приписанное Ольгерду православие должно было решать определенные идеологические задачи: возвеличивание тверского княжеского дома и, в частности, великой княгини Ульяны Александровны, декларация древнего почитания Киево-Печерской обители со стороны литовских великих князей. Специально в статье исследуются вопросы о хронологии и обстоятельствах, связанных с гибелью виленских мучеников, текстологии Киево-Печерского помянника.

Abstract. In the article the problem of trustworthiness of the sources which relate the conversion into Christianity of Algirdas, the great prince of Lithuania and a fire-worshipper from his birth, is considered. In the modern historiography the opinions have been voiced several times that he had been converted into Christianity twice or even thrice. This might have happened, resp., before his first marriage to the Princess Mary (Maria) of Vitebsk; then, before the second one, i. e., that to the Princess Uliania (Ulyana) of Tver; and, finally, on the eve of his death, when he had allegedly accepted both the Baptism and the Great Scheme. During the time-span between those events, Algirdas appeared and was characterized by his contemporaries as a pagan, the circumstance which would suppose his repeated retreat from Christianity back to the paganism. All these judgments seem to us to be highly controversial, and this made us turn to the sources underlying all the aforementioned hypotheses. It has been shown in the paper that the Muscovite, Byzantine, and Livonian sources, contemporary to Algirdas, are consistent in their dubbing the Lithuanian Prince ‘pagan’, including the situations of his demise and burial. The earliest information about Algirdas’ alleged Baptism is dating back to the late 15th century. This is The Letter by the Metropolitan Spiridon-Savva, where Algirdas is named with the Christian name Alexander, then Alexios in the Scheme, and The Commemoration Book (Pomyannik) of the Kievan Cave Monastery (here we find Algirdas being named Demetrios). In these monuments the Orthodoxy which was ascribed to Algirdas had to settle certain ideological tasks, to wit, the exaltation of the Tver princely house in general and of the Great Princess Ulyana Alexandrovna, in particular; the declaration of that centuries-old veneration which the Kievan Caves monastery entertained on behalf of the Great Princes of Lithuania. We especially treat here the questions of the chronology and the circumstances connected with the demise of the Saint Martyrs of Vilno, as well as of the textology of The Commemoration Book.

В статье представлены материалы по книжной археографии, знакомящие читателей с коллекцией старопечатных кириллических книг Православного музея Верхотурского Свято-Николаевского мужского монастыря. Публикация содержит научное описание пяти наиболее ранних по времени типографского выхода старопечатных книг: двух кодексов XVII в. – «дониконовского» Евангелия Учительного, изданного на Московском Печатном дворе в 1633 г. и вышедшего после церковной реформы патриарха Никона Cлужебника с соборным свитком (М.: Печатный двор, 1668) и трех изданий XVIII в.: Евангелия, выпущенного Печатным двором в Москве в 1711 г., после упразднения Петром I русского патриаршества, Евангелия, напечатанного при Павле I в Московской типографии Святейшего Синода (М.: Синодальная типография, 1796) и изданной год спустя Библии (М.: Синодальная типография, 1797).

Abstract. The article represents new materials on the Russian archeography which introduced the reader into the old print Cyrillic books collection of the Orthodox museum in the Verkhoturie St. Nicholas monastery. The publication includes the scientific description of the five earliest old print books to have seen the day. These are: the two 17th-century codices, i. e., the pre-Nikonian Instructive Gospel (Evangelie Uchitel’noe), which was printed by the Moscow Printing Yard (Pechatnyj Dvor, i. e., the Pulblishing House) in 1633, and the Sluzhebnik (The Office Book) with the Council roll, edited in 1668, to wit, after the ecclesiastical reform by the Patriarch Nikon (Moscow: The Printing Yard, 1668); and the three 18th-century editions. The first one is the Gospel issued by the Moscow Printing Yard in 1711, after the abolishing of the Patriarchate, the second one is the Gospel edited by the Moscow Holy Synod Press under Paul I (Moscow: The Synodal Press, 1796), and the third one, the Bible edited a year later (Moscow: The Synodal Press, 1797).

Аннотация. В настоящей статье использованы материалы о среднем сыне академика Петра Бернгардовича Струве – Константине (1900-1949), в монашестве архимандрите Савве, благочинном Русского Типографского монашеского братства в селении Ладомирова в Словакии. Вводятся в научный оборот эпистолярные материалы К. П. Струве (архим. Саввы), его отца, матери и братьев из архива проф. Н. А. Струве. Использованы также неизданные документы, происходящие из архива Типографского братства, архивов Свято-Сергиевского православного богословского института в Париже, Германской епархии РПЦЗ в Мюнхене, архива протопресвитера Б. А. Бобринского и других собраний. В переписке К. П. Струве содержатся сведения о его обучения в Германии и Чехословакии, начале его церковно-просветительской деятельности, планах создания церковного издательства, объединяющего видных православных ученых эмиграции. В письмах содержатся подробнейшие описания процесса обучения и быта студентов первого курса Свято-Сергиевского института, доступная информация о котором крайне скудна, отзывы о преподавателях прот. С. Н. Булгакове, С. С. Безобразове, прот. Г. В. Флоровском, еп. Вениамине (Федченкове), Л. А. Зандере и других. Рассказывается и об истории возникновения студенческого Свято-Сергиевского братства и создании популярного в эмиграции журнала «Сергиевские листки», основанного по инициативе и при деятельном участии К. П. Струве. Уделено внимание межконфессиональным контактам студентов Свято-Сергиевского института. Рассказано о работе К. П. Струве в Православно-миссионерском зарубежном русском подворье в г. Белая Церковь в Королевстве Сербов, Хорватов и Словенцев под руководством о. Иоанна (Шаховского), о подготовке К. П. Струве к принятию монашеского пострига под руководством известного архимандрита Амвросия (Курганова) в монастыре Мильково, где начинали свой путь многие известные иерархи Зарубежной Русской Церкви. Последующая жизнь о. Саввы (с 1931 г. до самой кончины) связана с деятельностью Типографского братства в Ладомировой и редактированием газеты «Православная Русь», ставшей единственным в истории эмиграции общерусским православным периодическим изданием и в годы Второй мировой войны продолжавшей распространяться во многих странах русского рассеяния в силу совершенно особенного политического положения возникшего к тому времени независимого Словацкого государства.

Abstract. This article is based on materials of the academic Petr Berngardovich Struve’s middle son Constantine (Konstantin) (1900-1949), Archimandrite Savva in religion, also the local dean of the monastic printing and publishing brotherhood of St. Job of Pochaev in the village Ladomirova, Slovakia. For the first time Archimandrite Savva’s letters will be acessible to scholars, together with the correspondance of his father, mother and brothers, from Prof. Nikita A. Struve’s archives. Also included are previously unpublished documents from the monastic printing and publishing brotherhood of St. Job of Pochaev archives, as well as from the archives of the St. Sergius Institute of Orthodox Theology in Paris, from the German diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia in Munich, from Protopresbyter Boris A. Bobrinskoy, and from other sources. In K. P. Struve’s letters we find information about his education in Germany and Czechoslovakia, about his first steps in the field of theological education, about his plans to establish a theological publishing concern that would unite prominent Orthodox scholars of the Russian emigration. The letters contain exclusively detailed descriptions of the education and lifestyle of first-year studentsat the St. Sergius institute, subjects on which the available information is very scarce. We also read the author’s replies to his teachers: archpriest Sergius N. Bulgakov, S. S. Bezobrazov, archpriest George V. Florovsky, bishop Veniamin (Fedchenkov), L. A. Zander et al. The story of the emergence of the Brotherhood of the students of St. Sergius and of the establishment of the review “Sergius’ Notes”, popular throughout the emigration, founded by K. P. Struve’s inspiration and with his collaboration, is also related. St. Sergius institute’s students’ interconfessional contacts are also addressed. Other subjects include: K. P. Struve’s work in the Russian Orthodox Abroad’s Missionary Town of Belaya Cerkov (White Church) in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians under the guidance of Fr. Ioann (John) Shakhovskoy; the author’s preparation for becoming a monk under the direction of the well-known archimandrite Amvrosij Kurganov of the Milkovo monastery, where many prominent hierarchs of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia set out on their path of service to the Church. Fr. Savva’s later life (from 1931 to his repose) was connected with the activities of the monastic printing and publishing brotherhood of St. Job of Pochaev in the village Ladomirova and with editing the newspaper “Orthodox Russia”, the only Russian Orthodox periodical of the emigration still published in many countries of the Russian diaspora during the Second World War. This was possible because of the specfic political climate in the independent Slovak state of that time.

Аннотация. В публикации представлены письма профессора Казанской духовной академии протоиерея Николая Петровича Виноградова к другу и соученику по академии Алексею Афанасьевичу Дмитриевскому. Письма охватывают период с 1893 по 1927 г. В них освещаются проблемы развития богословской науки и учебного процесса Казанской духовной академии в стабильный период ее деятельности (1893-1898), особенности духовно-академической жизни в мятежный период российской истории начала XX в. (1907-1916), судьбы членов казанской духовно-академической корпорации в послереволюционный период, после прекращения деятельности академии (1925-1927). К письмам протоиерея Н. Виноградова присоединено письмо его вдовы Раисы Никандровны 1928 г. с описанием кончины и погребения супруга. Публикуемые письма находятся в архивном фонде А. А. Дмитриевского в Отделе рукописей Российской национальной библиотеки и продолжают цикл публикаций архивных документов, связанных с жизнью и деятельностью знаменитого русского литургиста.

Abstract. In the publication the letters of the Kazan theological Academy professor and archpriest Nikolas Vinogradov to his friend at the same Academy Alexey Dmitrievsky are presented. They cover the period from 1893 to 1927. Here we find the following problems highlighted: the development of theological science and the educational process in the Kazan Theological Academy in the stable period of its activity (1893-1898); the specific features of the academic life in the rebellious period of the Russian history at the turning point of the 20th century (1907-1916); the fate of the members of the Kazan academic corporation in the post-revolutionary period, after the termination of the Academy activities (1925-1927). To the letters of Archpriest Nikolas Vinogradov the letter is attached of his widow Raisa Nikandrovna (1928), describing the death and burial of her late husband. The letters are conserved in the archival fund of Alexey Dmitrievsky in the Manuscript Department of the National Library of Russia. The present publication is a continuation of the cycle of editions of the archival documents related to the life and work of the famous Russian liturgiologist.

Аннотация. В настоящей публикации вниманию читателей предлагается вторая часть романа протоиерея Николая Буткина (1882-1937) «Виноградари», названная автором «Обреченные» (первая часть романа опубликована в Вестнике ЕДС за 2014 г.), в которой описаны события 1917-1918 гг. В уездном зауральском городке Шадринске продолжается пастырское служение отца Григория Загуменных (псевдоним автора – прот. Николая Буткина). Описываемые сюжеты переносят читателя то на поля Южного Зауралья, где с чаяниями о дожде продвигается крестный ход крестьян, то к бурным событиям «эпохального» первого свободного Екатеринбургского съезда духовенства и мирян, то в гостиную земского начальника, где неожиданно разгорается жаркая полемика о судьбе русского духовенства и о человеке. И даже… разверзается бездна человеческой души, представленная в письмах прихожанки. Смелое, точное и глубокое слово пастыря, тонко чувствующего боль человеческой души, обращено не только к горожанам послереволюционного Шадринска, но и к современному читателю. Роман является уникальным источником как по церковной истории Шадринска в эти переломные годы, так и в целом по истории Екатеринбургской епархии. Но самое главное – он отражает жизнь провинциального пастыря в сложное время социальных и политических перемен. В нем нашли отражение личные искания автора, связанные с осмыслением своего пастырского служения. Роман дарит читателям встречи с живыми людьми, воскрешает историческую память о трагических страницах истории Церкви и Отечества начала XX в.

Abstract. The publication contains the text of the pt. 2 of the novel “The Vineyard Laborers” by the archpriest Nikolay (Nicholas) Butkin (1882-1937), which bears the author’s title The Doomed Ones (see the first part of the novel in the Bulletin of the Ekaterinburg Orthodox Theological Seminary, 2014, no. 8). The action here takes place in 1917-1918. In the trans-Uralian district town of Shadrinsk Fr. Gregory Zagumennykh (a pseudonym of the author) had been keeping on his pastoral activities. The subjects described bring the reader once to the fields of the Southern Trans-Uralian area, where together with the hope for a rain a peasants’ cross procession was going in advance, once to the turmoil of the first “epoch-making” free reunion in Ekaterinburg of the clergy and laymen, once to the living-room of a zemstvo (regional, zemsky) official, where – quite unexpectedly – a hot polemics was flaring up concerning the fate of the Russian clergy and on man in general. Even… the abyss of a human soul is opening wide in the letters of a parishioner woman. The word of a pastor, who subtly felt the pain of human souls, the bold, exact and deep word as it was, was directed not only to the inhabitants of the post-revolutionary Shadrinsk, but also to the contemporary reader. The novel is a unique source both on the ecclesiastical history of Shadrinsk during those critical years and on the Ekaterinburg diocese history in general. But the most important thing about it is that it reflects the life of a provincial pastor in the hard time of social and political change. In the novel the personal aspirations of the author, connected with the comprehension of his pastoral service, have found their reflection. It presents the reader with the meetings with the living people and revives the historical memory of the tragic pages of the Russian and ecclesiastical history of the beginning 20th century.
